This approach can be used as an introduction to a workshop on a digital theme 

Depending on the size of the group, allow 30 minutes (5 minutes to choose and 25 minutes for discussion).

Equipment: collect and dispose of several objects

No prerequisites

1.     Facilitator arranges objects or cards on a table.
2. The facilitator asks participants to choose one of the objects (or cards). Initially, participants do not pick up the object, but come and sit down again, to allow all participants to choose. 
3. The facilitator then invites participants to pick up the chosen object (or card). If some participants choose the same object, they know it and can go back to their seats. 
4.  In the large group, each participant in turn explains his or her choice to the group, showing the chosen object and expressing his or her relationship with digital technology in this way.
